As a student-run theatre group, Studio 301 Productions hold a myriad of activities, mainly centering around our quarterly productions. Our most recent production was Bat Boy: The Musical, a mock-musical directed by Ph.D candidate Chris McCoy, presented this past spring quarter. The previous spring, we presented RENT, a rock opera. Other productions have included John Ford’s ‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore, a staged reading of Dustin Lance Black’s ‘8,’ Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple (Female Version), Spring Awakening, Julius Caesar, Rumors, Hair, Fuddy Meers, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, among others. In addition to our performances, we also hold fundraisers and serve as a social group. Favorite activities include but are not limited to outings to professional shows, our annual trip to Sky High, as well as various themed events and parties throughout the year. Some favorites include Fancy Pants, where everyone puts on their finest, and Pajama Pants, which speaks for itself.
