Has your student organization registered for the 2017-2018 academic year? Please read on for all the things you need to know to prepare for registration and complete the process effectively.
The four major steps include:
- President/Primary Officer and Treasurer/Financial Officer must complete online orientation.
- Submit a registration request form on OrgSync through the Registered Student Organization’s portal.
- All five officers must review and accept terms and conditions.
- If applicable and you want an on-campus bank account, access to space reservations, and more, renew your agency account.
Visit our website for more information on what you need, the benefits to registering early, and the steps to make it happen.
If your student organization did not register for 2017-2018 by June 30, 2017, your student org’s registration is expired, agency account is inactive, mailbox will be reassigned, and room reservation access has been paused. All expired student orgs’ portals on OrgSync have been disable. In order to re-enable your portal and register your student org for 2017-2018, please contact CSI.

It’s is never too early to prepare for fall quarter and the next academic year! Save the date for CSI’s third annual Student Organization Leadership Summit! This it will be held on Tuesday, September 26 in the Student Community Center. There will be more than one workshop at a time, so be sure to bring all your org’s officers to take full advantage of this event. Fill out our interest form to be sure to get updates about the event and how to formally RSVP.
Great news for registered student organizations (RSOs). The “free allotment” of reservations (4 hours per week of meeting reservations in general assignment spaces and three special events per quarter in general assignment spaces) will continue during the next academic year. Please see notice below for more details.
Free meeting room access for RSOs: We are pleased to announce that room reservation fees will be covered for 2017-2018 for Registered Student Organizations (RSOs). CSI will continue to support RSOs in the process of reserving on-campus space for their activities. We would like to express our appreciation to the UC Davis student organizations for their patience throughout this process.
As you may be aware, SmartSite, a Collaborative Learning Environment for courses and projects, has been replaced on campus. Instruction in SmartSite will end in June 2017. Project sites end sometime in the 2017-2018 academic year.
If your student organization maintains any active SmartSite projects, you must transition to OrgSync. OrgSync allows Registered Student Organizations to access features similar to SmartSite such as calendaring, file sharing, polling, announcements, etc.
Please let CSI know if you need any assistance in setting up a new OrgSync site, or extracting materials from SmartSite.
The Student Organization Wellness Initiative (SOWI) is recruiting registered student organizations for 2017-2018! SOWI connects student organizations with tools and resources to help them positively impact the health and wellness of their organization members and the campus community. If your organization is interested in joining SOWI, please complete the application by Friday, June 30. If you have questions, email Shantille Connolly at email@example.com.
