Sorority and Fraternity life supports and advises 50 organizations, each governed by a council. Membership in a fraternity or sorority can be one of the most significant experiences for a college student. The value of fraternity and sorority life for students who choose to participate is melding many campus community segments into one cohesive program. Fraternities and sororities promote the experience of self-governance, leadership development, academic achievement, community service, social opportunities, and friendship.

Led by executive boards consisting of chapter leaders within their respective councils, each council serves as an umbrella organization assisting and supporting their member chapters.
